Creator Setup

Your newsletter, configured and launch-ready in 7 days.

Domain, email, deliverability, and welcome sequence framework — set up properly by someone who's been doing this for 20 years. You write. I handle the tech.

The Problem

You're a writer, coach, or operator — not an IT person.

You've got the idea. Maybe even the first few subscribers. But every time you sit down to launch properly, you lose the day to:

  • Domain settings that don't make sense

  • DNS records you've never heard of (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

  • ESP configuration buried six menus deep

  • Welcome sequences that won't trigger

  • Emails landing in spam for reasons nobody explains

You've got the idea. Maybe even the first few subscribers. But every time you sit down to launch properly, you lose the day to:-Domain settings that don't make sense
-DNS records you've never heard of (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
-ESP configuration buried six menus deep

-Emails landing in spam for reasons nobody explains
Meanwhile, your launch date keeps slipping. It's not that you can't figure it out. It's that you shouldn't have to. Every hour spent on this is an hour not spent on the actual work.

How It Works

A simple, predictable 7-day process.

You'll know what's happening at every step.Day 1 — Kickoff call (30 minutes)
We walk through your goals, your existing accounts, and what you want your newsletter to do. You share access to the tools you already have. I confirm the scope and timeline.
Days 2–3 — Domain & email foundation
I register or transfer your domain, configure DNS, and set up email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). This is the part most setups get wrong — and the reason newsletters end up in spam.
Days 4–5 — ESP & signup flow
I configure your email service provider, set up your sender identity, build the signup form, and wire up the welcome sequence framework. Everything tested end-to-end.
Day 6 — Deliverability check & QA
I send test emails through the major inbox providers (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) and verify everything lands where it should. Any issues get fixed before handoff.
Day 7 — Handoff
You get a Loom walkthrough of everything I set up, a one-page reference doc, and 14 days of email support. Your newsletter is launch-ready.
Working a day job? No problem. This is asynchronous by default. We only need one short call at kickoff.

About Me

Hi, I'm Tom Smith

I've spent 20 years configuring the kind of online tools your newsletter depends on — domains, email, DNS, deliverability — first in IT and security roles, and now for creators who'd rather not spend a week figuring out SPF records.I hold the CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, and PMP certifications. What that mostly means in practice: I've been the person who has to clean up when someone else's setup goes wrong, and I built this service so you don't end up being that someone.I do this work because I genuinely enjoy the tech, and because I'm one of the few people who likes explaining it to non-technical people without making them feel dumb. No jargon, no condescension, no "let me just SSH into your DNS" energy. If you're a writer, coach, consultant or newsletter operator who wants the foundation done right — once, properly, by someone who's seen what breaks — I'd like to help.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

I haven't picked an ESP yet. Can you help me decide?
Yes. The kickoff call covers this. I'll recommend Kit, Beehiiv, MailerLite, or Ghost based on your goals, budget, and how you want to publish. No upsells, no affiliate pressure — just the right tool for your situation.
I already started setting this up and I think I broke something.
That's a normal place to be, and an easy place to fix from. I'll audit what's there during the kickoff call, keep what's working, and clean up the rest. You won't lose your existing subscribers or content.
My setup is a little unusual — I'm migrating from another platform / I have a paid newsletter / I want multiple sign-up forms / etc.
Most of these are fine within the standard scope. If your situation needs more work than a typical setup, I'll tell you on the fit call and quote any add-ons before we start. No surprises.
What if the emails still land in spam after launch?
Deliverability is part of the scope, not a bonus. I test across Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail before handoff and fix anything that's not landing in the inbox. If a deliverability issue traces back to my setup in the first 30 days, I fix it at no charge.
Why not just do this myself or hire someone on Fiverr?
You can. Plenty of people do. The reason this service exists is that most newsletters launched this way have at least one foundational issue — bad DNS records, missing email authentication, deliverability problems, broken automations — that the creator only discovers months later, usually right before a big launch. $1,500 to not deal with that is a reasonable trade if your time is worth more than the cleanup work.
What happens after the 7 days are up?
You get 14 days of email support included for any questions about what I set up. After that, you can reach out anytime for an add-on (a new sequence, a migration, a deliverability tune-up) at hourly or flat-rate pricing. No retainers, no contracts, no pressure.
